Local chefs will demonstrate how to create holiday meals that are sure to satisfy everyone’s appetite! Plus, help Harrah’s collect funds and food items to support area food pantries this holiday season.
“With the holidays quickly approaching, many of the shelters see an increase in visitation and we want to help,” says Mike Rich, General Manager of Harrah’s Metropolis. “Each year we host a food drive among our employees. However, this year we hope to collect more since the community can donate a can of food or $5 to attend our holiday cooking show.”
Numerous local restaurants and bakeries are participating and providing samples of their favorite recipes! In addition, cooking demos allow attendees to learn “secret” tips to making no-fail dishes!
For the food drive, the list of items needed include: any nonperishable food items, paper products, men’s and women’s hygiene products, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, diapers, towels and much more.
