Hahn’s digital photographs are inspired by the Dutch Golden Age paintings that explore the transient nature of life through symbolism with hidden messages about mortality and the brevity of life. The slashes and marks that Hasegawa makes across the surfaces of his vessels capture the energetic motion of transformation from a ball of clay to a finished vessel.
