Friday, May 18

Were you all at Mother Duncan’s Saturday, October 15th for the Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo CD Release Party? If you were, lucky you! If not? Shame on you! Shame on me too for missing it, because these guys are going places! We’ve just received word from Shirley Kennedy, their manager, that they have been placed on the Official Ballot for the 2012 Grammy Awards by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences in two categories: Best New Artist and Best Blues Album (“10:49”). It’s an honor to be placed on the ballot, but they your help to get them into the Final Top 5 Nominees.
If you are a voting member of the Grammys or know anyone who is, Shirley asks for your consideration in voting for Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo. The Grammy ballots have now been sent to all voting members and must be received by the Academy by November 2. Also, if you know someone else who is casting their vote in this year’s Grammys, please forward this link to them using the cute little buttons below and ask for their vote!
