Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Laura K
Giving ‘em something to talk about (with style!) Promotional services of all kinds are for hire. Fashion, travel, food and art musings are complimentary.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Friday, May 18

Well, here’s something we don’t see every day in Paducah!
Our friends at West Kentucky Community & Technical College are welcoming Tibetan monk Tsering Phuntsok to campus on Monday, April 25. Phuntsok will discuss Buddhism and life in a monastery during the free hour-long presentation beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Crounse Hall 101.
Since entering the Nyingmapa monastery in Bir, India, in 1987 at age 16, Phuntsok has been a practicing Buddhist monk. For the first 17 years, he studied and practiced in the Nyingmapa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, receiving training in meditation, Buddhist scripture and philosophy, tantric ritual, lama dancing, music, and Buddhist rituals in general.
Whoa. Wait. Tantric ritual?
OK, nevermind.
Anyhootie, sounds like a fantastic presentation, and it’s part of a Kentucky speaking tour sponsored by the Religion and Philosophy Club at Hopkinsville Community College. Free.
