Lots of women try all kinds of different make-up searching for the perfect brand, spending anywhere from $3 at drugstores to $50 or more at department stores. You may even find one you like, keep it around for months or even years, then decide that it’s too heavy or doesn’t stay on long enough. It will itch, come off on your clothes and clog your pores. Most importantly as a life rule, you MUST wash it off before bed.
On a visit to see my bff sister, Sarah, in South Carolina, she told me she was using bareMinerals make-up. Her cosmetics bag was so organized and clean, with just some small containers with black lids and brushes. Her skin looked absolutely fabulous with a very natural, beautiful glow. I don’t know why I did not immediately run out and buy it. Maybe I thought it wouldn’t look that good on me, and I found it inconvenient that I would have to drive to Nashville, or order it online every time I was out or wanted to try something new. Sarah has multiple stores in Columbia, including the Bare Escentuals store close to her house, where she can buy it.
This past Christmas, my gift from Sarah was the bareMinerals Get Started kit (which can be matched with your skin tone). I was very excited about it, but thought, I don’t know how to use it. Thankfully, this marvelous kit came with a how-to guide and DVD which were very informative in telling me how to apply it and which brush to use. Along with that came three brushes, two SPF 15 foundations, Warmth all-over face color, Mineral veil and a brush conditioning shampoo. I immediately watched the DVD and starting using it. It took me three to four times to get it just right, but needless to say I fell in LOOOOOVVVEE with it!!
bareMinerals make-up is so pure you can sleep in it AND it is clinically proven to be good for your skin. It looks great, improves your complexion and feels like you aren’t wearing any make-up at all! It looks like a powder and smoothes onto your skin like silk. It’s sweat proof, transfer resistant and hypoallergenic. You can adjust how much coverage you need by simply using two different brushes. Because only brushes are used to apply it, there is no mess! Only a very small amount is used at a time, so it will last a very long time! bareMinerals is literally by far the BEST make-up I have ever come across! I decided the drive, or online ordering, was totally worth it!
While having this conversation at work, my co-worker, Pam, told me there was a place right here in Paducah that I can buy it — the Jade and Earth Serenity Day Spa at 234 Berger Rd.! I couldn’t have been more excited and went to see their selection. As you can see from these photos, they have it all there, even the Get Started kits, which aren’t only for your face. I purchased one for lips, cheeks and eyes, along with some extra things.
I could go on and on about this make-up and how much I love it, and I think you’ll love it just as much if try it for yourself! Check out their website and read all about it yourself or stop by and see the helpful women inside the local spa!

Hello Honey,
Very good article, but Andrea, Joshua’s grandmother at 76 has been using “Bare Minerals” for about 4 years and his mother (me) and aunts have been using it for 2 to 3 years. All you had to do was ask us why we are all so beautiful…LOL
Love you, Janee
