Badonkadonk? Oy Vey!

Well, it's come to this. In today's Current, our question — in honor of country singer Trace Adkins' upcoming concert at Harrah's — is: When is it appropriate to use the phrase Honky Tonk Badonkadonk? I'm not gonna lie to you. Suzanne, Patience and I were not amused. And the amount of time we spent on our answers, frankly, is a bit embarrassing. First, there was the research — evidently the word is used to celebrate an ample backside. Then the music video. And then, the thought process. Thinking about badonkadonk. Brainstorming badonkadonk. It was, as they say, a little much. Suzanne's blog readers know, of course, that badonkadonk is no substitute for her coined phrase, "back butt." Patience pretty much told Trace Adkins that he's delusional. I just thought he ought to think up his own word instead of swiping and cashing in on someone else's — and misusing it, at that.
