Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Laura K

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

I was in San Antonio with my mom last week, otherwise I'd been front and center at the Loggins and Messina Carson Center show last Saturday. I hear it was an awesome concert. Those guys rock, and even though Kenny Loggins' people politely declined my invitation for him to be featured as our iDate of the Week, I'm still a big fan and would loved to have seen them.
My new friend Kurt David Engelhardt sure didn't miss it. Kurt's an even bigger fan and good friends with both performers. Kurt sent me these cute photos from the show. Maybe we can get 'em back for a repeat performance. And maybe by then Kenny will reconsider my offer!
Among the next big performers coming to the Carson Center: The O'Jays! They're performing Thursday, Oct. 29. DJ Urban Kobbb's written a little review — so have a look and hear a sample of Use Ta Be My Girl, one of their big hits along with Love Train, Back Stabbers, I Love Music and other great songs. Tickets are on sale as of today!
Also coming up: Hal Holbrook in Mark Twain Tonight! It's set for Friday, Sept. 25. Hal Holbrook has performed this show for 50 years, always to huge, adoring audiences. I get to interview him this afternoon — I always get nervous and star struck, even over the telephone. So look for that piece next week on iList Paducah — if I can calm my fingers down enough to type in some notes! Buy tix to that show here.
