Catch some delicious bass*

*It’s a play on a Napoleon Dynamite quote.  Just go with it.

alt textOne of our area’s most popular and best loved DJs takes a break from the turntables and returns to his live music roots tonight after a 12 year hiatus.  Back then you could find him as guitarist and lead singer of Room 27 with The Union Suit’s Cory Greene on bass and Jerry Davis (formerly of The Union Suit) on drums.  Tonight, he’ll be bangin’ on bass along with Parasite Diet.

“I’ve been secretly wanting to play bass with a band for about a year now,”  TFY says, “and Parasite Diet’s album is basically one of my favorite albums ever.  When I saw them play recently at the two day KC Hall benefit show and noticed they were performing without a bass player, I worked up the courage to ask them if I could give it a try.”

Tony auditioned just a week ago and has practiced with the band pretty much every night since.  If his prior musical ventures are any indication, this will be a show not to miss!  Parasite Diet performs tonight with Middle Class Trash, Teenage Rehab, Ese (TX) and Mind Boggeling Meltdown at Twilight Tea & Coffee in Lone Oak.  The show starts at 8:00 pm and is a benefit for the family of Jake Moore.
