Chip Wynn Sets New World Record!

Congratulations to Celebrity Bartender Chip Wynn of Chip Wynn Motors. Not only did he smash our Get Together Gals' earlier record of selling 42 wine tasting tickets at the Pasta House, he also trumped Bear on the Air's NEW record of 54 tickets. Yep, the very suave and handsome Chip Wynn (super cute Kym Copeland Johnson photo, btw, which I totally swiped from Chip's Facebook page) sold a whopping 74 tickets last Thursday, all to help increase the amount of food donations that lovely Pasta House owner Bob Hoppmann makes to St. Nicholas Clinic. And with that, Chip challenges the upcoming celebrity bartenders to bring on their best pours. They've got some tall glasses to fill if they want to, um, chip away at Chip's new world record. Next up: cyber celebrity William Sledd and Paducah Bank's Susan Guess. This excessively good-looking duo will be behind the bar 5-8 p.m., this Thursday, Oct. 8. William, as you know, is the bank's social media consultant, and he's doing a great job of raising the bank's visibility on Facebook, Twitter and other online — and real life — venues. Knowing these two, there will likely be a bunch of fun giveaways. After that, it's the Carson Center's Lisa Lauck (genius marketing director) and Brian Laczko (fab executive director), 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15. Dubbing themselves Beauty & the Beast, Lisa and Brian will give all those purchasing wine tasting tickets a 10 percent discount on tickets to the March 6, 2010, live performance of Beauty & the Beast! So get thee to the Pasta House for these next two wine tastings. Lots of fun things going on, and a Chip Wynn record to beat!
