Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic
1901 Kentucky Ave.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

Good Guys Who Golf for a Good Cause

Oh y’all. You gotta love you some Keith Murt. That’s him on the left. He’s a self-made tycoon of all things mechanical and other stuff, and he’s absolutely one of the sweetest men you’ll meet. He’s so fabulous that he donated the use of his barn for a Paducah Bank party last year (it was a WKCTC Gala auction item), and I’m not even kidding you. The floor of the barn was spotless. The BARN was spotless.

Anyway, he and Chad Scott (on the right — I don’t know him, but I’m sure he’s just as fab) were part of the USEC employees and subcontractors golf scramble held May 27 at Paxton Park. Their Murtco Mechanical team placed first and Swift and Staley placed second. Woo-Hoo!

Proceeds from the scramble went to the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Project of McCracken County. Child Watch CAC administers the CASA Project, where trained volunteers are assigned by the Family Court to track progress and provide periodic reports on child victims in the foster care system.

Many thanks to Sarah B. Roman (our Sarah’s Love List blogger) for the scoop and the photo! Congratulations everyone on a great golf day!
