Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic
1901 Kentucky Ave.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

Got an Extra Microwave? Someone Can Use It

I love Bellewood Homes for Children. First of all, Gwen Taylor and Craig Felker work there — and I'm crazy about both of them. Gwen started the 40/50 Group and Craig is in the band Special D and reminds me of a much, much younger and cuter Mick Jagger. That's them, above, talking with Jamie, one of their clients. Bellewood helps young adults, starting at age 17, make a smooth — well, as smooth as possible — transition from foster care into independent living. That means their own apartments, college (usually WKCTC, which rocks!), a job — all that kind of stuff that most of us had a little help with? That's what Gwen and Craig do for folks leaving foster care. They've increased their client load, which is good, because it means they can help more kids. But they need our assistance. Currently, they need the following items to help the kids with their apartments: • Small appliances like microwaves, CD players, used TVs, DVD players, lamps, etc... • And other stuff: dishes, towels, curtains, glasses, pots/pans, baking dishes, etc... If you have anything nice that you'd like to pass along, just send an //';l[1]='a';l[2]='/';l[3]='<';l[4]=' 103';l[5]=' 114';l[6]=' 111';l[7]=' 46';l[8]=' 100';l[9]=' 111';l[10]=' 111';l[11]=' 119';l[12]=' 101';l[13]=' 108';l[14]=' 108';l[15]=' 101';l[16]=' 98';l[17]=' 64';l[18]=' 114';l[19]=' 111';l[20]=' 108';l[21]=' 121';l[22]=' 97';l[23]=' 116';l[24]=' 103';l[25]='>';l[26]='\"';l[27]=' 103';l[28]=' 114';l[29]=' 111';l[30]=' 46';l[31]=' 100';l[32]=' 111';l[33]=' 111';l[34]=' 119';l[35]=' 101';l[36]=' 108';l[37]=' 108';l[38]=' 101';l[39]=' 98';l[40]=' 64';l[41]=' 114';l[42]=' 111';l[43]=' 108';l[44]=' 121';l[45]=' 97';l[46]=' 116';l[47]=' 103';l[48]=':';l[49]='o';l[50]='t';l[51]='l';l[52]='i';l[53]='a';l[54]='m';l[55]='\"';l[56]='=';l[57]='f';l[58]='e';l[59]='r';l[60]='h';l[61]='a ';l[62]='<'; for (var i = l.length-1; i >= 0; i=i-1){ if (l[i].substring(0, 1) == ' ') output += "&#"+unescape(l[i].substring(1))+";"; else output += unescape(l[i]); } document.getElementById('eeEncEmail_yh5shbkXhl').innerHTML = output; //]]> ">email to Gwen and they'll make the arrangements!
