Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic

Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Great Art in Paducah This Weekend!

Two of my favorite Paducah artists are having receptions in two of my favorite Paducah galleries this weekend! Friday night Gallery 1025 is holding a closing reception for the Paul Lorenz show, Architecture and Moment. These paintings combine layered, graphite lines with the immediacy of flowing paint in a beautiful combination of Paul’s two sides – architect and abstract painter.

Saturday night John Romang, Thom Whalen and Adam Carlson are back again with another art show at Philosophy Gallery. Joining them this time is Shane Harris from Central Illinois. This year’s show will consist of large ink and resin panels, small kinky porcelain ceramics, syfy pinups, and intense oil paintings. Don’t miss this great weekend of art in LowerTown!
