Handsome Patrick J. Withrow M.D. of iList Paducah sponsor Western Baptist Hospital has been promoted to Vice President and Chief Medical Officer — oh lá lá! He serves as the hospital’s liaison with the medical staff of more than 240 physicians and assists in physician recruitment, program development and community education. An interventional cardiologist, Dr. Withrow practiced at Western Baptist from 1981-2007, when he was named medical director of the Baptist Heart Center. He serves on boards for the Kentucky chapter of the American College of Cardiology and the Kentucky Medical Association. He also co-chaired the 2008 American Heart Association Heart Walk, which raised more than $100,000. Western Baptist, recently named in Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals, is ranked among the nation’s best hospitals for treatment of coronary artery disease, chest pain and cancer and breast imaging.
