Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic

Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Horizon Media Nabs Prestigious ADDY Awards


Not only are they super, super cute, the staff members of Horizon Media Group are exceptionally talented — and we’re not the only ones who think so.

The team came home with two ADDY awards from last week’s Tri-State Advertising & Marketing Professionals banquet held in Cape Girardeau. Creative Director Nathan Brown (left) won an ADDY in the Sales Promotion category for the development and design of the Kirchhoff Bakery menu. And Head Web Designer John Benjamin (right) won an ADDY in the Interactive Media category for development and design of the Birk Grove Life Centre Web site. 

That’s Bruce Shulman (owner) and Jacob Garbe (also amazingly talented) in the middle.

Professionals from the advertising industry in Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky compete for the awards annually, which recognize their work in various categories including print, radio, TV and online media. More than 50 winners were selected from more 150 submitted entries in our region. More than 60,000 entries are submitted worldwide, making the ADDYs the world’s largest advertising competition.
