Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Yo, VIP! Let’s kick it!
The downtown Paducah Ice Rink opens Friday, Nov. 12, and Paducah Parks Services is already accepting reservations for birthday parties, company parties and other private gatherings. Three package choices are available, ranging from $125 to $200. All include a festive party area and skate rental.
School groups, companies and other organizations can rent the rink for $180 per hour with an additional fee for concessions. The rink must be reserved at least 14 business days in advance.
The rink is located at 121 Jefferson St. in the Farmer’s Market parking lot. It’s $5 per person to skate including the skate rental. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, though, it’s just $2 for a two-hour session.
The rink is open through Saturday, Jan. 2, with extended hours during the holidays. It will be closed Christmas Day.
For more information about the Paducah Ice Rink, visit the City’s website or call Paducah Parks Services, 444.8508.
