Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic

Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. iDates of the Week: Gettin' Hitched!

Yep, it's official. On Christmas night, iDate of the Week No. 6, the devastatingly handsome Jay Page, got down on one knee, in front of his parents, his grandparents and her parents, and presented iDate of the Week No. 41, the incredibly beautiful Lauren Adams... ...with a tiny box on a crystal plate surrounded by rose petals... ...and popped the magic question! MzLauren doesn't remember exactly what happened right after, but is pretty sure that the head nodding and tears were a clear signal that the answer was yes! With that, Jay Page, a Paducah restaurant entrepreneur, popped open a bottle of Veuve Clicqout, followed by two more. "I've worked in Georgia and Kentucky and have missed out on so much with my family, including holidays," says Lauren, a WPSD-TV news reporter. "So the proposal was made even better by the fact that my parents were able to be there and share in our special moment." No date yet — likely September or October, and they'll marry in Lauren's hometown of Reading, Penn. Congratulations to Lauren and Jay, our first engaged iDates of the Week! Cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! Oh, maybe we should start a new column? iFiance of the Week? Hum....
