Nikki is an artist on a mission to save the world from bad design. She is highly inappropriate, drinks too much coffee, spends too much time on the computer and would rather be drawing pretty pictures.

Mary Thorsby
Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Laura K
Giving ‘em something to talk about (with style!) Promotional services of all kinds are for hire. Fashion, travel, food and art musings are complimentary.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Saturday, May 26

Oh, y’all. Leadership Paducah Class 23 is my new favorite thing EVER! First, they’re all extremely good looking. Second, they’ve been working on not one, but TWO fundraisers for the Family Service Society.
The first, last Saturday’s Karaoke Contest at The Star, was a BLAST. The photo above is what happens when the Chamber’s Stacy Thomas breaks out her infamous Brickhouse. You can’t even see her behind the crowd she magnetically pulled on stage. That’s emcee Chuck Sexton, front and center, and evidently very limber.

Here’s Alex Metzger looking through the Karaoke book. I believe he did a rendition of Eminem or Snoop Dog or one of those…

Despite our extreme, a-hem, shyness, here’s Robyn Shapiro and me — we were part of the Low Down LowerTowners along with Jill Chambers and Fowler Black — doing our rendition of R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Which finally came together once I got the words to match the actual music.
In all, about 10 or 12 fun folks hopped up on stage and wowed the crowd. Alas, celebrity judges Adam Shull, Laura K and a fella posing as AJ did not select us as the top winners — I’m assuming we came in around, um, 15th…. Katrina Bell won second place (dinner for two at Max’s!) and Steven Johnson nailed first, taking home a nice $150 in cash money!
The next event? Miles for Smiles, Saturday, May 15. Right on, Leadership Paducah!
