Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic
1901 Kentucky Ave.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

My Breasts Are Exhausted!

Now that I’ve got your attention… that’s just one of the lines that stands out from the laugh out loud ‘comedy verite’ Fully Loaded. I’m going to have to go back and see it again tomorrow to really absorb all the funny lines that I feel the need to add to my repertoire! And some excellent advice that I really need to learn how to take… A man is like a car – it doesn’t have potential; if it’s not fully loaded, don’t drive it off the lot!

The real treat was getting to spend a few minutes after the film meeting and chatting with the director, Shira Piven, who is lovely and charming and seen above with yours truly. She answered some audience questions and introduced us to her mother, who has a small role in the film. You’ve all seen her daughter Pearl, who also has a small role. Wait, you haven’t? You should check her out!

You should also take the opportunity tomorrow afternoon to check out Fully Loaded if you missed today’s screening. It’s showing tomorrow, Saturday, at 1 p.m. at Maiden Alley Cinema. Don’t miss your chance to see this award winning film and meet the lovely director. I’ll be there too! In fact, come up to me and tell me that you came because you saw this post on iList Paducah and I’ll have a special little surprise for you! Also be sure and vote at Maiden Alley for Fully Loaded as audience favorite!

Need more convincing? Check out this nice little interview that Laura K did with Shira. Produced by Curt Stewart of Emerging Media Productions.
