In all the excitement, I forgot to mention that the February issue of the Four Rivers Business Journal is out. This time, I interviewed folks about the importance of keeping up a nice Web presence even in an incredibly icky economy. This column has some great info from Jeff French of ZebraGraphics, Glen Arterburn of Arterburn.com, Susan Edwards of Wildhair Studios and Sherri Goins of IVS. Click the image to enlarge.
I even interviewed super smart and super cute Scott Powell of US Bank, who says nows the time to "stick to our knitting." Here's what he means:
"During economically challenging times, continue to execute your proven business model and don't allow media hype to distract you from doing what you know is right. Many companies grow their business and market share during difficult times because they prepare for such downturns and are positioned financially to take advantage of opportunities their competitors cannot."
This is my last Internet column for now. I'm handing the reins to the very smart Jeff French so that I can stick to my own knitting, iList Paducah. Jeff, as you know, is filled with great ideas and passionate about the Web, so I leave this column in very good hands! So be sure to look for his debut column in March. I'm sure it will be great!
