Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic
1901 Kentucky Ave.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

Not Rain, Nor Snow, Nor Lack of Internets…

(1/31: I added a few event updates at the end of this post....) iList Paducah subscribers received our weekly email this morning. We usually send it on Wednesdays, but given that everyone was in the dark and huddled under blankets with no working communication devices — including Nikki — we weren't able to get everything together for the email until last night. We did, though, have our Web site updated right before everything blew up and blew out. We debated about sending the email as most all of the events are likely postponed or canceled, but we wanted to share our iLove it Market House Theatre story (cuties Sarah Bynum and Anna Brewer are on our home page), our hottie iDate of the Week Michael Conley, our iPet Woody the Wonder Dog and all our other fun features. So have a look, and maybe call or ask around before heading out to any of the events you see listed. I know the Challenger Center's Trivia NIght tonight will be rescheduled, as will Saturday night's Desserts First event from the Girl Scouts. Two Western Baptist events will be rescheduled — the Saturday breastfeeding class and the Feb. 6 Heart Walk event. The Sunday Iris Shreve Garrott reception is still on, 3-5 p.m., at the library. So definitely plan to be there. Iris is the best, and definitely deserving of a big bash! I'll add more updates as we hear about them. If you have any scoop on what's on and what's off, just use the comments button below to let everyone know, or //';l[1]='a';l[2]='/';l[3]='<';l[4]=' 109';l[5]=' 111';l[6]=' 99';l[7]=' 46';l[8]=' 104';l[9]=' 97';l[10]=' 99';l[11]=' 117';l[12]=' 100';l[13]=' 97';l[14]=' 112';l[15]=' 116';l[16]=' 115';l[17]=' 105';l[18]=' 108';l[19]=' 105';l[20]=' 64';l[21]=' 121';l[22]=' 114';l[23]=' 97';l[24]=' 109';l[25]='>';l[26]='\"';l[27]=' 109';l[28]=' 111';l[29]=' 99';l[30]=' 46';l[31]=' 104';l[32]=' 97';l[33]=' 99';l[34]=' 117';l[35]=' 100';l[36]=' 97';l[37]=' 112';l[38]=' 116';l[39]=' 115';l[40]=' 105';l[41]=' 108';l[42]=' 105';l[43]=' 64';l[44]=' 121';l[45]=' 114';l[46]=' 97';l[47]=' 109';l[48]=':';l[49]='o';l[50]='t';l[51]='l';l[52]='i';l[53]='a';l[54]='m';l[55]='\"';l[56]='=';l[57]='f';l[58]='e';l[59]='r';l[60]='h';l[61]='a ';l[62]='<'; for (var i = l.length-1; i >= 0; i=i-1){ if (l[i].substring(0, 1) == ' ') output += "&#"+unescape(l[i].substring(1))+";"; else output += unescape(l[i]); } document.getElementById('eeEncEmail_pGwhztD2Ta').innerHTML = output; //]]> ">email me directly. By the way, does anyone know when Tilghman and Paducah Middle classes will resume? UPDATE: Mz Iris' reception is, indeed, postponed — though I believe the library is open, warm and has Internets. The Monday evening Paducah Photo Club meeting will be rescheduled. Maiden Alley Cinema is, indeed, open. So check out the schedule and head over for a warm movie. Many downtown restaurants are open, too.
