Wanna learn to make handmade greeting cards? Now’s your chance. The Mt. Moriah Handmade Greeting Card Class usually meets at the church the second Saturday of each month, 1-3 p.m., to work up a room full of creative love.
Making your own greeting cards is a great way to have fun and offer blessings to someone else.
“These cards are special to us because of the time we spent making them,” says homemade greeting card goddess and iDate Sherona Crim. “It’s like a therapy for the cardmaker because it is so relaxing, then when you look at the finished product, it makes it all worthwhile. I believe people like receiving them because they are mostly one of a kind and made especially with the recipient in mind.”
Purchase cards from Lanette Weatherspoon’s blog, scrappinsistascafe.blogspot.com, and Sherona’s blog. They’ll also have cards at the Collaborative Women’s Conference set for Oct. 1-2, 2010.
