Mick Fleming, President of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association (ACCE) will be the keynote speaker at the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce’s 73rd Annual Meeting on January 19, 6 p.m., at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. Fleming will re-present the “2011 Chamber of the Year” award given by ACCE.
“We are very excited about Mick Fleming accepting our invitation to come to Paducah,” said Georgann Lookofsky, Annual Meeting Committee Chair. The committee has worked very hard on all the details for year’s event, which includes a sit down dinner, catered by Laura Duff, A Pampered Palate. The theme of this year’s event is “An Award Winning Community” and will feature our many community partners who have recently earned national recognition.
“As is the tradition, business and civic leaders alike come together at the Annual Meeting to draw inspiration from the program, celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and gear up for the business challenges of the new one,” said Lookofsky.
The gavel will pass from 2011 Chair, Glen Anderson of Paducah Water to 2012 Chair, Tom Garrett, Paducah & Louisville Railway. The emcees for the evening will be Darlene Mazzone and Sandra Wilson, doing a fun take on the NBC Today Show’s “Kathy Lee and Hoda.” They will announce our Business of the Year and other award winners in a quick and lively format.
The reservation deadline is Friday, January 6, by 5 p.m. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets are: $75/members; $125/non-members; and, $1,000 for corporate tables of eight.
