Congratulations to our little city of Paducah for winning yet another national award for being a super cool place to live! America’s Promise Alliance and ING have chosen Paducah as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People for its initiatives to help young people.
The competition recognizes communities across the country that focus on reducing high school dropout rates and providing service and support to their youth.
“We are proud of Paducah for being named one of the America’s Promise Alliance’s 100 Best,” says Mayor Bill Paxton. “This award recognizes the hard work of many community members who have dedicated their time to making a difference in the lives of our young people.” City Commissioner Gayle Kaler says, “Being one of the 100 Best shows that Paducah has its priorities straight. Focusing on our youth will ensure that Paducah will continue to be great in the future.”
There will be a live webcast of the award announcement at 11 a.m. that you can watch on the America’s Promise Alliance website. Now give yourselves a pat on the back!
