Three years ago I moved away to Maryland and my last memory of me living in Paducah was the Lowertown Arts & Music Festival. Every year I try to come back to Paducah during the festival to visit with friends, see the art, enjoy the music and have my annual pig out. This year was no exception and my stomach thanks y’all.
My trip started with a very intense (and delicious) pasta judging of Bill Renzulli’s Pasta Quest. From then on the food and drink started coming out of the woodwork!
My days started with good coffee and good conversation at Etcetera.

Then it proceeded by meeting friends for lunch, followed by a gossip session on the porch (wine and h’ordeuvres compris) and finished by a delicious homemade dinner among other friends.

All my dinners and lunches with friends were good but I have one complaint. There was a whole lot of this:

Good thing I finally found whose shed I had left my bike in a year ago…

...because all that food was making my pants tight.

On one of my trips, I went to check that my brick was still there…

..and yes, it was still there where I left it.
The LowerTown Arts & Music Festival was great. Lots of great bands…

..and lots of great art.

The prize for cutest dressed baby goes to Priya!

The two weeks I spent in Paducah have gone by very quickly. I am going back to Maryland today, but no matter where I come from or where I go, this is always home. See you next year Paducah!
See you next year, Aynex! We’ll miss you!

Awwwww….. It was so nice to have you here, Chiquita! It just feels natural for you to be here, especially since YOU were the first person I met when I came to Paducah to check it out. Have a safe trip back to that other place (not home!)... Nice post, too!
Abrazos!
