Nikki is an artist on a mission to save the world from bad design. She is highly inappropriate, drinks too much coffee, spends too much time on the computer and would rather be drawing pretty pictures.

Mary Thorsby
Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

The upcoming Yeiser Art Center PostSecret show is generating plenty of buzz around town — and beyond — primarily because it's a great show and also because it will be gorgeous director Landee Bryant's last big project before filling the director's chair at Maiden Alley Cinema. We've spotlighted it in our iLove it section (above) on iList Paducah — in fact, we join Four Rivers Behavioral Health, Kentucky Arts Council, US Bank and WKMS as sponsors of the show.
And the Sun's Adam Shull has given it a great plug, too, including his interview with PostSecret creator Frank Warren.
And he wrote this sweet story about Landee.
Landee wrote about it for the Sun, too.
…and she created this neato poster that she's distributing through MySpace and other viral venues. (Feel free to download and send it out to friends!)
The show kicks off Saturday, with an 8 p.m. Spoken Secrets event featuring local spoken word artists from the Paducah Writers Group, Guerrilla Poetry and BlackInk — details here. And make plans to come to a second reception on Saturday, Aug. 9, featuring Song Secrets — local musicians will perform original songs based on PostSecret postcards. DJ Urban Kobbb will be in the hizzy as well, spinning tunes from 5-7 p.m. The musicians start playing soon after.
Hope to see you there!
