Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic
1901 Kentucky Ave.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

Pourin' Hands and Achey Feet

UPDATE AGAIN: If you'd like to see the best of the best photos, we've got 'em on our GTG Flickr page! UPDATE: Hunka hunka Bob Hoppmann just called. He says the highest number of tastings sold BEFORE last night was 26. We almost doubled that at 42, plus our photo sales! "You gals blew us away," Bob says. "Our kitchen was smokin'." He even said his lead cook pretty much hates us now. "Don't have those girls come back ever again," I believe was the exact quote. Maybe the lead cook's feet hurt, too? Wow! What a great crowd last night at the Pasta House Wine Tasting! We Get Together Gals served as celebrity bartenders — and when I say served, I mean we worked it, for three hours straight! I have a whole new appreciation of, and admiration for, bartenders and wait staff everywhere. That's hard work, y'all! And, here's a free tip: If you're bartending, leave your cha-cha heels at home. Ouch. Only Laura K can pull that off. And even she admits to achey feet. However, we had a GREAT time and were thrilled to see so many new faces, along with our good friends and family. Bob Hoppmann, the handsome hunka hunka owner of Pasta House, has hosted these wine tastings for several months now, donating a nice portion of the proceeds to one of his favorite groups, St. Nicholas Family Clinic. (They're one of my favorite groups, too. St. Nicholas Clinic is one of our iList Paducah sponsors, as is Pasta House. We love (almost) everybody, but we especially love our sponsors.) Bob's patron saint happens to be St. Nicholas. For the past six years or so, the Pasta House has donated dinners to St. Nicholas because staff and volunteers spend so many evenings taking care of patients there. Very nice. I'll post the fundraising results as soon as we get 'em. We even raised money from some very kind folks who wanted to have their pictures taken with us...cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! Here are a few photos — I was too busy pouring wine to take very many. But we'll post a link soon to Keith Ford's pix! Thanks again, everyone! Oh! I almost forgot. Exciting GTG Announcement No. 2: We're planning an all-out, fantastic, over-the-top, TWO-DAY FASHION SHOW for a very lucky non-profit, to take place next year. So if you'd like in — whether to help us plan it, or to have your business or organization associated with this amazing event in some way — send me an email. We're SUPER excited about it.
