Nikki is an artist on a mission to save the world from bad design. She is highly inappropriate, drinks too much coffee, spends too much time on the computer and would rather be drawing pretty pictures.

Mary Thorsby
Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Laura K
Giving ‘em something to talk about (with style!) Promotional services of all kinds are for hire. Fashion, travel, food and art musings are complimentary.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Got a great story about Paducah’s Carnegie Library? The McCracken County Public Library wants to hear all about it! Library staff members are planning a Thursday, Nov. 18, celebration of the library and its patron, Andrew Carnegie.
While the program honors Carnegie for his 175th birthday in November, librarians are collecting memories of the building he made possible and patrons’ experiences there now. The recollections will be used for the celebration, but will also form a record of the historic library. Currently, no such record exists.
The Carnegie Library opened at 826 Broadway in October, 106 years ago. A fire damaged the library in 1963. It was replaced by the beautiful McCracken County Public Library, 555 Washington St., which we love and enjoy today.
If you have a memory, story or experience you’d like to share regarding the Carnegie Library, the McCracken County Library would love to read or hear all about it! Email your story to Library Director Julie Hart, or call her 270.442.2510, ext. 113. Julie’s also collecting oral histories, if you’re interested in doing a recording.
Save the date for Andrew Carnegie’s birthday celebration! Local historian John E. L. Robertson will share the history of the Carnegie Library at the current one at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18. Music and refreshments included!
