Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic

Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

“SEVY” NEEDS YOUR HELP


iList Paducah’s friend and former iDate of the Week, Aaron Severns, is currently fighting for his life at the Lourdes Intensive Care Unit in Paducah, Kentucky. He is affectionately known by all simply as “Sevy.” He is battling a hematoma on his brain which was the size of a baseball. Sevy was given slim chances of survival and likely faces some brain damage. He does not have health insurance and will undoubtedly have medical bills, therapy, and other financial demands pressed upon him. Sevy is the epitome of charisma and loyalty. The world is noticeably diminished while he lays in a hospital bed. Please, if you can contribute any amount of money to help offset the cost of his treatment, please visit the Paducah Underground website and click the “Donate” button. 100% of the donations go straight to Sevy and his family.

There is no question that he would do the same for someone in his position.

I just had brain surgery in Nashville on August 12, 2012.  Dr. Robert Mericle is the finest neurosurgeon in the United States and we are so fortunate to have him so close to Paducah.

Does anyone have any contact info for Sevy’s family?  I may be able to contact Dr. Mericle and try to make arrangements for the finest neurosurgeon to work with him on surgery at no cost.  Dr. Mericle is a wonderful man.  He even gave me his personal email address.

I can have answers immediately to any questions concerning Sevy’s brain injury.
