Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic

Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Song Secrets Tonight! Spoken Secrets on WKMS!

I stopped by the Yeiser Art Center today to get a sneak peek at the PostSecret. It's FANTASTIC! The most amazing postcard art is on display throughout the gallery. Even the envelopes (above) are amazing. If you haven't seen it yet, or if you'd like to see it again, please come to the wine and cheese reception this evening starting at 5 p.m. DJ Urban Kobbb will spin tunes, and then these local musicians will perform original songs they've written based on the secrets reflected in the show: • Shawn Jones • Josh Patterson • Gabe Camacho • Mike Capone • Angelia Dotson • Eric Mobley It's going to be a great party, so I hope everyone can make it! iList Paducah is one of the sponsors, so count on a few T-shirt giveaways! By the way, WKMS posted a great piece about the Spoken Secrets show on July 26. In Spoken Secrets, local poets from the Paducah Writers Group read their own poetry inspired from the postcards from the show. Listen to highlights, here!
