Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover

Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Sun Features Jennifer Wyatt and Birk Grove

The lovely Leigh Landini Write Wright wrote a great story about the also-lovely Jennifer Wyatt in the Sun yesterday. Jennifer owns Her Executive Coach and is an iList Paducah sponsor. (Love her!) Anyhoodie, Jennifer was diagnosed with fibromyalgia awhile back, a chronic condition which, as Leigh writes, is characterized by pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons. Fatigue, cognitive/memory deficits and sleep difficulties also are symptoms. Jennifer receives assistance from — and offers coaching services at — Birk Grove Life Centre, which was started by Paducah physician Monte Rommelman and his wife, Kim. It's the only facility in the nation, and probably the world, that's strictly dedicated to helping women with fibromyalgia. The Rommelmans, Jennifer and the rest of the staff offer physical therapy, emotional counseling, yoga, massage, aromatherapy, nutritional management and, as I mentioned, Jennifer's specialty, life coaching.
