Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Saturday, May 26
Oh la la! Get your tickets now to the Paducah Symphony Orchestra's Opening Night Saturday, Sept. 12. The performance, Exhibitions 1: A Tribute to the Tang Dynasty, honors Paducah Symphony Maestro Dr. Jordan Tang for his 23 years of service to Paducah.
The symphony performs three orchestral masterpieces: Beethoven's Egmont Overture, Chen and He's Butterfly Lovers Concerto with guest violinist Sue-Jean Park and Maestro Tang's signature piece, Moussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.
Speaking of exhibition, tonight's performance is even more special as the symphony partners with LowerTown and other West Kentucky artists for a Conc-ART Gallery showing in the Carson Center lobby beforehand. So plan to view great art (purchase a cocktail for enhanced viewing!) beginning at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m.
Are you an artist and want to be included in the gallery? Review the guidelines and submit your pieces by Friday, Sept. 4! Conc-ART will also be featured during the Oct. 3, Nov. 7, Dec. 20, March 20 and April 17 performances, so you'll have more chances throughout the season.
Also, the Touch of Class-ical Conversations program continues to be a big hit. Head to your seats by 7 p.m. and listen as Michael Crouse, the new Yeiser Art Center executive director, gives a "virtual tour" of Paducah's permanent art collection!
