Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic
1901 Kentucky Ave.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Marie Liang, the McCracken County Public Library's fantastic director, is retiring after 18 years of service — and everyone is invited to her party, 5-6:30 p.m., today, in the Library Community Meeting Room. Everyone loves Marie. And based on her amazing accomplishments, it's no surprise. Her staff members especially love her. In fact, they nominated Marie for the Carol J. Parris Mentoring Award, which she received in October 2008. If you wanna know what it's really like to be loved by your employees, read their nomination letter on Iris Shreve Garrott's blog. Iris took the photo, above. I'm also a big fan because she was an early iList Paducah supporter and sponsor. And I'm awful partial to supporters and sponsors! Stop by and thanks Marie for her contributions to our community. And say hello to Julie Hart, the library's new director! Julie started work June 15, and she is already a big hit!
