Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic

Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

The Low-Down on Aspire Arts

I was happy to see the lovely Janet and Jay O'Rourke featured in the Low-Down section in today's Sun. Super nice photo by John Wright and great story by Jenna Wise. The O'Rourkes have Aspire Arts Studio and Gallery, 611 North 6th St. I always feel for them because their place is fabulous but you have to actually cross Martin Luther King to get to it. And it's taking a little while for folks to get the hang of crossing the street to get there. The gallery has all sorts of wonderful items, including gorgeous new woodwork. So if you haven't yet been, cross the street and go. They're right across from that Hunka Hunka McLovin Michael Crouse, who also has a wonderful studio. And he's super cute — another good reason to, you know, cross the street!
