Nikki D. May
Nikki is an artist on a mission to save the world from bad design. She is highly inappropriate, drinks too much coffee, spends too much time on the computer and would rather be drawing pretty pictures.

Mary Thorsby
Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Laura K
Giving ‘em something to talk about (with style!) Promotional services of all kinds are for hire. Fashion, travel, food and art musings are complimentary.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Jessica Perkins
Always on the hunt for interesting people and places around town, Jessica loves to create buzz about everything Paducah!

Getting a substantial shout-out on Bizzyville always makes me so very happy. Suzanne Clinton was among the very first bloggers in our area, and I love, love, love her blog. She's like our own local version of Dooce, only without the liberal use of the F-word and the Morman-in-recovery-quips.
So for Suzanne to put her seal of approval on our May 30 Breaking the Ice Singles Mixer and Speed Dating event at Harrah's Metropolis — well, it's like receiving a dozen red cyber roses on a day when you're busting out of your skinny jeans and there's barely enough Bombay to make even the teeniest of martinis.
And here's why getting a Bizzyville plug is even a bigger boost: Suzanne also posts to Facebook, which is where she dubbed the event, "Two Minutes to Paradise," giving an Eddie Money (of Two Tickets to Paradise) nod to speed dating's two-minute-per-person commitment. She's just clever like that.
We've also received excellent PR from new media maven LauraKStyle. The lovely Laura K is coordinating the speed dating part, with radio personality Mitch Myers as the evening's host. Laura, too, is busy promoting the event on Facebook and on Twitter, as well. Be sure to sign up for her free marketing tips newsletter on the right side of her blog. If you're promoting yourself or your business online, Laura K can show you the way.
Many thanks to Suzanne and Laura K. We'd appreciate EVERYONE helping us get the word out. Everybody needs a little love — and a lot of love can get spread in just two minutes.
Wanna date? Here's the Breaking the Ice link again. You'll see a super-easy form to fill out, which will help Laura K ensure a nice balance between men and women.
See you there!
