...has written a new book called "Upward Stride: A Pictorial History of WKCTC." The book features milestones achieved in the past five years and an excellent look at the history of WKCTC’s parent institutions — Paducah Community College and West Kentucky Technical College.
“PCC and West Kentucky Tech both were respected institutions in this community, says Janett. "Both touched the lives of thousands of individuals throughout the Heartland. What was interesting to me in writing this book was that both of these colleges, as well as WKCTC today, were formed because of the strong belief in education by a few very dedicated individuals. It’s really a remarkable story of faith and determination.”
The limited-edition, 8.5” by 11” hardback book showcases 160 pages of Janett's fabulous text and 230 historic and modern photographs. The books should arrive by mid-November — just in time for holiday gifts! — and they'll sell quickly. Pre-order your copies now by calling Janett, 534.3079, or, go here and download the order form. They're $29.95, plus tax and shipping. The price rises to $39.95 after Nov. 1.
“I think anyone who ever took a class at PCC, Paducah Junior College, West Kentucky Tech or West Kentucky Vocational School will enjoy looking back, because there are some great photographs in the book," Janett notes.
Congratulations, Janett!
