Nikki is an artist on a mission to save the world from bad design. She is highly inappropriate, drinks too much coffee, spends too much time on the computer and would rather be drawing pretty pictures.

Mary Thorsby
Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Laura K. just posted this neat piece of news: Darling Jay Chuppe — inventor of the famous Kenfunky T-shirt, Gettin' Lucky in Kentucky — is one of the top 10 finalists in the 2008 Comic Book Challenge!
Now it's up to us to go here and vote for Jay's Red Mullet and CowBoy comic book pitch every day for the next two weeks. You can vote as often as you like! If Jay gets the most votes, he'll receive a Platinum Studios publishing deal that includes print, online and mobile distribution, and help in developing the characters for film and television.
Jay is based in Paducah and spends his days D&D — Drawing and Diapering. He's a stay-at-home dad, and stays incredibly busy doing design and illustrations for the NFL, Universal and Warner Brothers studios, NASCAR, Hanna Barbara, Rainforest Café and the like.
Anyhoodie, he has always wanted to break into comic books, and several years ago he created Red Mullet & CowBoy, two Western Kentucky community college students who decide one day to become the handiest super heroes on a budget.
Have a look at his funny video pitch on the voting page. He even has friends who are making Red Mullet & CowBoy into a movie — Laura K. has the trailer!
Go, Jay, Go!
UPDATE: Angie Kinsey has a front-page story about Jay and the contest in the Tuesday, Aug. 12, Sun! How exciting!
