Nikki is an artist on a mission to save the world from bad design. She is highly inappropriate, drinks too much coffee, spends too much time on the computer and would rather be drawing pretty pictures.

Mary Thorsby
Camera in one hand, cocktail in the other, MareMare shares her favorite people, places and parties in Louisville. Find her “finds” intriguing? Then go check ‘em out. And take her to dinner after. Oh, she does corporate stuff, too.

Laura K
Giving ‘em something to talk about (with style!) Promotional services of all kinds are for hire. Fashion, travel, food and art musings are complimentary.

Kelsie Gray is a poetess, pie alchemist, and English teacher. She lives with three cats who all suffer from varying degrees of insanity and makes a hobby of photographing herself in bathtubs that do not belong to her.

Suzanne Clinton
Serving up the random online musings of an over-thinking 40-something liberal with a serious attitude problem and a dog that eats its own poop since 2005. Read her at Bizzyville.

Crystal Shackelford, who played a key role in bringing the Paducah Sun online, passed away Monday morning after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was just 31.
So many friends on Facebook have been posting such sweet notes about her, including her close friend and mentor Janett Blythe, WKCTC's PR pro. Crystal interned for Janett through a work/study program, and Janett recognized her talent and promise early on — so much so that she recommended Crystal to the Sun.
Janett also played a role in introducing Crystal to her husband, Pastor CT Shackelford of the Rocky Ford Baptist Church. Together, they formed a blended family with eight children, including little Sade'a, 3, above. If you want a glimpse into Crystal's beautiful life, visit to her Web site, crystalshackelford.net.
The Sun's Angie Kinsey wrote a lovely piece about her. Click the image to enlarge.
REVISED: Crystal's family will receive visitors beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 South 8th St. The service follows at the church at 1 p.m., with the burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A trust fund for the Shackelford's family, "Life Funds for Crystal Shackelford," is now open at BB&T Bank. Donations can be made at any bank branch.
