Hands On St. Nick - A Makeover
St. Nicholas Family Clinic
1901 Kentucky Ave.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Come help us give this 20 year old organization a NEW LOOK! Help us paint, clean, organize and create a welcoming environment for our patients and the community.

Specific needs include: taping & mudding supplies, paint & artwork groupings, rugs, blinds & plants/interior foliage, soft fluorescents, baby changing station (x2), office organizers, L-shape desk, chairs, coffee tables, flooring – wood laminate & vinyl or tile, and volunteers.

Having served almost 7,000 patients since opening in 1994, St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic has made a significant impact on the health of our community and region. We are looking forward to giving back to the clinic by recruiting local businesses and volunteers to help lay new floors, freshen the walls with new paint, and organize the space for people to be proud of. Featuring JLF Interior Designs.

WKCTC’s Backstage Pass — Great Kickoff for a Great Series!

It was a fun evening of music in a casual laid-back atmosphere – with several fun surprises! First up was The Brothers Brogan, with an introduction by frontman Layne Hendrickson saying that this was the first time he had played Irish music to an audience that wasn’t drinking beer! But as a non beer-drinker, I was pretty happy with the coffee and delicious cupcakes by Batter Up Bakery. I had a delicious Vanilla Caramel cupcake, but I can’t wait to try their Maple Bacon Cream Cheese cupcakes! Yes, BACON!

The next big surprise was J.T. Oblesby — I’ve heard him play guitar many times with the Solid Rock’it Boosters, and I knew that he could really play — but I had no idea what I was in for! Really great thumbpicking and an amazing unique singing voice as he played a mix of covers and original music while giving us a lesson in the history of music in Kentucky. If you see him playing somewhere, do NOT miss him!
