iLove it
We know you single folks are busy. iList Paducah's Mary Thorsby goes on that first date so you don't have to!

September 19, 2010

Channing N. Langston

She talks loud, laughs loud, listens loud and lives loud. Meet Channing Langston! Movies, books, music — she loves it all!

Check out her video, brought to us by Innovations Branding House!

Channing Langston, you are cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! Here we go!

  1. I’m loud. I talk loud, laugh loud, listen to music loud, live loud. I doubt anyone got far in life by keeping their head — and voice — down at all times.

  2. Music is my life. I sing, play various instruments, collect records. I even work for a band as their Social Media Manager and Merchandise Director, and have played Tour Manager (see: babysitter) at times.

  3. I love to cook! I’ve been cooking since I was 3, since I was gifted with a wonderfully large family who are all magnificent cooks. I attended culinary school a few years ago. Baking has always been my specialty. Who wants a cookie!?

  4. alt textFlowers — I work as florist in Benton, so I adore flowers. I think they’re the perfect way to say hello to a friend, or as a birthday surprise. Unfortunately, this means I spend more time helping to plan funerals than the average person — but I enjoy helping people in my own small way through this.

  5. I am a movie fan! I have way more DVDs than one person should, and since I don’t get into TV much, I watch a movie nearly daily. Nearly all kinds except horror — but my favorite genres would be Comedy and Sci-Fi.

  6. I’m a nerd. I love Star Wars, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and yes, I’ve been to a “con.” I like watching WWII documentaries and anything about the Revolutionary War — particularly the Free Mason’s involvement with the founding of our country.

  7. Social Media Junkie: Facebook? Check. Twitter? Check. FourSquare? Double check. If I can add a tip, post a pic, write a quip, I’m there. It makes me feel like a 21st Century Lewis & Clark, if you will.

  8. I love sports! The Boston Red Sox and the Pittsburgh Steelers in particular, but I can get into nearly any game there is. I played softball, baseball and hockey growing up. These days I’m more of the “armchair quarterback” type.

  9. I rarely go by own name. I make up names for the hostesses at restaurants, and my friends have a host of nicknames for me: Chan Chan, Chanarama, Big Mama (and my personal favorite) The Chansaw. My internet buddies call me “cnlbnl.”

  10. I’m SUCH the ham. I used to do a lot of theatre, namely musical theatre, so I’m a sucker for the spotlight. I love karaoke or basically any excuse to embarrass myself/my friends. Anything for a laugh!

  11. I adore concerts. Live music experiences are my favorite past time. I travel to Nashville a lot (nearly weekly) to see bands/artists play. I’d rather skip a meal than skip a show!

  12. Between delivering flowers and traveling for shows, I’ve grown to love the open road. My friends will tell you I’m an AWFUL driver, but I can drive for hours on end. I’d love to take two weeks and get an RV and meander all around the USA!

  13. I still make mix tapes/CDs. I did it for the boy I liked when I was 13, and I just never grew out of it. They make unique gifts and are better than a Hallmark Card.

  14. Trivia is my thing. Need to know the largest area code of Utah? Captain Kangaroo’s real name? Track 3 of so-and-so’s debut album? The year King George repealed the Stamp Act? I’m your gal.

  15. alt textI LOVE Hardware stores. Yes, hardware stores. There are 87 zillion kinds of screws and I feel the need to know (and have) each one and know what they’re for. Gloss. Semi Gloss. Eggshell.

  16. I dig the written word. A few of my favorite authors include Kurt Vonnegut, Dr Seuss, Chuck Palahniuk, Augusten Burroughs, Langston Hughes, Orson Scott Card and, yes, J. K. Rowling. BOOKS: Check ‘em out.

  17. My love of movies and music combine beautifully into a love of musicals. Cabaret. Lil Abner, Oklahoma, West Side Story, Chicago, Hairspray, Grease, The Fantasticks, The Pajama Game, Annie, Rent, you name it. I’ll belt my little heart out right along with them!

  18. Just like your local 6 year old, I still do arts and crafts. Make a picture frame. Paint a ceramic coffee mug. Gather beads and make bracelets. I often make T-shirts featuring the humorous phrase my friends spill out with whilst intoxicated.

  19. A non-profit organization called Charity:Water has become very important to me. It’s a 100 percent efficient charity that brings clean water to underdeveloped nations. We complain when the cable is out, can you imagine never having clean water in your life? For what you paid for your last five Starbucks coffees, you could have given someone clean water FOR A LIFE TIME.

  20. I’m the luckiest person I know. I have an amazing family and stellar friends. I’m always the ninth caller at the radio station, the 10,000th customer, the lucky winner…and I don’t mind sharing that with the people in my life I care about.
