Ah! How much do we love this? Doug Topolski and Michele Mitchell met at our iList Paducah/Harrah’s Metropolis Speed Dating event. And look! A year later! Still darling!

We met at the iList Paducah/Harrah’s Metropolis Speed Dating event more than a year ago, and we are still going strong! - Doug is a DARLING and I ask myself every day what I did to deserve him.
- We are pieces from two different puzzles that got lost, but accidently fit together!
- I was stuck in the hospital for almost a week during Easter. Doug snuck in at 2 a.m. Easter morning and brought Easter baskets, stuffed animals, flowers and cards for me to wake up to the next morning.
- Then he came back that afternoon with hardboiled eggs and egg coloring and we colored eggs in my hospital bed!
- He does stuff like that ALL the time.
- I keep pinching myself. Sorry, I know I’m gushing, lol.
- It isn’t that I want the attention, it’s that I want to give hope to women and men out there like me, who think there’s no hope left because of past horrible relationships, or their age, or illness, or in my case all three.
- Everybody has asked me, “How could you know that you wanted to go out with someone in two minutes?”
- I think it’s because they’re right there in front of you, so they at least can’t lie about the obvious, and I could tell if someone had a line ready.
- The other thing is I met a lady at the event that I became very good friends with, and two of the guys who I matched with, we never went out, but became good friends.
- So it is an opportunity not to just meet someone for “romance,” but also just for friendship.
- I’d recommend iList Paducah/Harrah’s Speed Dating to anyone looking to meet someone special.
