Heather Hildreth

She was the babe pouring the bourbon at the recent iList Paducah party. Heather Hildreth, 32, is gorgeous, smart, funny and knows her way around a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned and any other festive refreshment. Visit her behind the bar at Toucan's!
Heather Hildreth, you are cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! You're gorgeous! Do men flirt with you all the time?
No, they don't!
I don't believe it! You sure attracted them at the iList Paducah party the other Sunday.
That was the free bourbon from Roof Brothers.
It was the gorgeous gal pouring the free bourbon with those Roof Brothers guys. Between you and Laura K. pouring the free vodka, it was quite the night!
I had so much fun. It was such a great party.
It was a great party! So you're from Paducah?Yes, born and raised in Paducah. And I moved to Las Vegas for four years.
What took you to Sin City?
My older brother is a land developer there. I worked as a cocktail waitress. I waited on a tremendous number of celebrities like Tony Hawk, Justin Timberlake, Cory Feldman, Fred Durst and his band, Tara Reid....
Now certainly they all hit on you, including Tara Reid!
No, actually it was in a gentleman's club, The Crazy Horse Too. And all the waitresses were all dressed. So the customers weren't looking at us.
Gentleman's club? Why do they always call it a gentleman's club? There's nothing gentlemanly about it.
Nothing. It's more of a sleaze club.
They should just call it what it is: Men Who Want to See Naked Women But Are Too Lame and Lazy to Date Club.
I agree. But it was good experience. I got to work with some of the most talented bartenders and cocktail servers in the service industry, so that part was good.
So you came back to Paducah?Yes, and I worked at Fat Moe's for three years, and then I started working at Toucan's in February.
I love Toucan's! Especially the margaritas! Is it a great place to work?
Yes. Nick and them are really great to work for. It's laid back with a little slower pace. Which is great, because I'm getting older.
Whaaaa? How old are you?
32.
That, my young friend, is so not old. You're not anywhere near knockin' on old's door!
It feels old. You get to certain age and you think about what you should be doing for the rest of your life. I can't bartend forever. I'm starting to panic.
Don't panic! Heather, you are darling! You can do anything!
I haven't come up with anything else yet.
Well, until then, we'll enjoy your fabulous bartending at Toucan's. How did you learn to bartend?Tony Foo Yong taught me. We were friends in high school, and a couple of years later, he was bartending at Whiskey River, which is now closed. He got me a job there and taught me how to do everything.
And was he so awesome at the Jungle Boogie party at Toucan's last Friday?
It was a great turnout and a beautiful night. I hope we do that again soon.
Rock on! What's your favorite drink to make?
The drinks I get the most compliments on are my Cosmos and my Mojitos.
I thought bartenders hated Mojitos because of all the steps.
If the bar's not too busy, it's fun to make them. And then usually if someone is having one, then the rest of the table will start ordering them. So that's always fun.
Ah good. So I won't feel guilty about ordering Mojitos from you! And you also bartend private parties?
Yes, I can do parties, weddings, special occasions, holiday events — I'm dependable and reliable for any event like that.
Heather, your hair is so cute. Who does it?
Karson Kelley. He just opened a new salon at 132 South Third St.
I know! It's darling! And your cute clothes?
I'm a big Internet shopper. I go to lots of different sites to buy different things. I love True Religion jeans. And I just went through an Ed Hardy phase. I love Forever 21.
Heather, you're darling, you have great hair and great clothes. What kind of fella are you looking for? I bet he'd have to be quite fashionable, too.I like dark haired guys. I have a big thing for Criss Angel. There's something about that black eyeliner and black nail polish — but just on him. I don't know any other guy who could pull that off.
What would you do if Criss Angel walked into Toucan's right now?
I'd act like I didn't see him. I would get nervous. I'd have to run in the back like a little 8th grader.
But if a Criss Angel-type guy walked in?
Well, I probably wouldn't run in the back. I like guys who are a little exotic. A little dark and mysterious. But I can't always like that type. That's the type that gets you in trouble.
Trouble can be good!
Yes, but that's all you'll get out of the relationship. And that's fine for now. I'm not in a hurry to settle down. I've got some great girlfriends, and I have Lucy Lucifer, my 3-year-old Poodle Pomeranian. So I'm very happy and content.
Good for you! And you've never been married?
No, I've never been married or had kids. I'd like to do that later, and if it happens, great. If not, that's OK, too. I'm really more about finding myself before I find a man. I'd say that I'm picky but if you were to see the guys I dated before, you wouldn't think I was!
Well, Heather, you are just too cute. I think some awesome guy with black eyeliner and black fingernail polish is going to swoop you off your feet. He may even know how to do an illusion or two….
Bring him on!
