Jessica Folmar

She designs interiors for i5 Designs, brainstorms great ideas on the Chamber Membership & Marketing Committee, is planning a Rotaract Cigar and Wine event for Oct. 15 and kicks rears as JESStified Homicide #13GS (LEGGS) on the Atomics RollerDerby Team. Jessica Folmar, you are cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! Here we go!

1. I am half German, a quarter Irish and a quarter Swedish.
   
   
2. I hate (dislike) Swedish fish (hate is a strong word).
   
   
3. I feel bad if I am sitting at home doing nothing, therefore, I have to talk myself into the fact that I probably deserve this time to relax!
   
   
4. BUT, I am ALWAYS doing something, so I don’t feel bad for wasting time. (You can relax when you sleep! That’s what it’s for!)
   
   
5. I LOVE meeting people and getting to know a little about them. I LOVE networking
   
   
6. I played volleyball, basketball and did track in high school. I also played in concert, marching and jazz band, and the pit orchestra.
   
   
7. I graduated from SIUC and received my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
   
   
8. I did it in four years.
   
   
9. I know I would love cooking and to explore with food, but I just don’t have the time, and I have never cooked, because why spend all that time to prepare a meal just for one person? Also, when I’m hungry, I’m hungry now. Not an hour and a half later when the food is ready!
   
   
10. I love my job at i5 Design Group Inc., and highly enjoy Chad Beyer and Bobby Koehler, who I work with :)
    
    
11. I miss waitressing and the money, so I also work at Martin Fierro on the weekends. Laura, Nester and Eugene are all sweet and funny people.
    
    
12. Designing is my passion. I love to enhance people’s lives by creating or re-designing the space they live in or work in. People spend 90 percent of their time indoors, and I DESIGN the indoors. I am quite proud of what I do, and I WILL succeed even more than I have. :)
    
    
13. I love to do anything outdoors, and will try just about anything once.
    
    
14. I never paint my nails, but like the way fake nails make my hands look very feminine. I have only had them twice in my life, though.
    
    
15. The closest thing to video games my older brother, younger sister and I have ever owned was a GameBoy. Which we didn’t even play much. AND my sister and I had to share one.
    
    
16. I don’t obsess over celebrities or care about what they are doing.
    
    
17. I am on the Membership and Marketing Committee for the Chamber of Commerce.
    
    
18. I am a RollerGirl on our local Roller Derby Team, The Atomics. My RollerGirl name is JESStified Homicide #13GS (legs) and everyone calls me LEGGS. I serve as Treasurer on the board for the league and I also am on the sponsorship committee. I LOVE this sport and all my derby ladies, refs and volunteers!!
    
    
19. I am one of the service chairs for the Paducah Rotaract Club, a group for young professionals and anyone interested in helping out the community. We are currently planning a large service event to benefit the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation. It will be a Cigar and Wine event, and we are working with Harrah’s for it to be on the top deck of the casino boat on October 15. Stay tuned! Or contact me if you would like to help!
    
    
20. I need to plan a vacation for this year. I need ideas.
    
    
21. I love jet skiing and being on the water.
    
    
22. It’s taken me a year to finally commit to doing iDate. ;)
