iLove it
We know you single folks are busy. iList Paducah goes on that first date so you don't have to!

September 12, 2011

Kate Marsh

  1. alt textI tried my first tomato three months ago.  I had eaten pizza sauce before though I am not a huge fan of it, but as for a real tomato I put that off for a long time.  I’m slowly starting to like them.  I still haven’t tried a pear.  I’ve survived a quarter of a century without them so I see no reason to change that now.

  2. To me, “Michigan” is a dirty word.  I love the Ohio State Buckeyes and I used to dream about being Mrs. Sweatervest.  I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, so to me being obnoxious about football is just genetic.

  3. I have two daughters.  Lily is four and Harper Grace is two.  Lil is my independent girl who walked at eight months and there is nothing anyone can do for her that she can’t do for herself.  H.G. is a mama’s girl, and capable of sweetness that I didn’t know was possible.

  4. I love ugly dogs.  By ugly I mean push faced and I turn into a puddle of goo whenever I see a bulldog or a pug.

  5. I love being a girl and getting all dolled up.  I never leave the house without eyeliner on.  I do love things like hiking and four wheeling, anything that guarantees I get muddy, but I will definitely want to shower afterwards.

  6. Listen: Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite author.  His brand of humor and his ability to make the craziest things make perfect sense appeals to me.  I love all forms of literature, but you won’t find me reading from the best seller list.  I like books that challenge me.

  7. I’m very intelligent. Not a girl who thinks she’s smart because I know the migratory pattern of swallows because I watch a lot of national geographic, but actually blessed with a great mind and I like to use it.

  8. I’m terrified of stingrays.  I had a bad experience with them while in the cayman islands when I was eleven.  I used to consider it a phobia but ever since crocodile hunter was killed by one I consider it a valid fear.

  9. alt textI love to travel, especially to Europe.  I’ve been to France, Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria.  Austria is my favorite and I lived there for a while as a teenager while an exchange student, but i don’t speak a word or German. I am, however, proficient in French.  I took it for eight years when I was a kid.

  10. All kind of music are the best type of music.  I love to go dancing, especially dubstepping.  I wish Paducah had better options for that kind of thing!

  11. I don’t drink. Ever.  It’s against my religion, and I have just as much fun as anyone else without it.  I gave it up a little over a year ago and I definitely don’t miss the hangovers!  I also don’t believe in sex before marriage, so looksies no feelsies!

  12. I’m really creative.  I like to make things with whatever medium I have available.  My true talent it writing. I was first published at age eleven.  My favorite is poetry, and what I write tends to be very dark.  Which is odd because I’m probably one of the most naturally happy people you’ll ever meet.

  13. I’m all about being a Mom, and it’s always the first thing on my mind.  My theory is that I will have all kinds of opportunities to do so many things many times in my life but I only get one shot at being a good Mom and it only takes once to screw it up.

  14. If I had unlimited time and money at my disposal I would go to medical school.  I have a knack for it, and still hope to go for it one day when my situation allows for it.

  15. I don’t like talking on the phone. I would much rather have a face to face conversation, and you can just text me to set that up!
