Kim French, you are cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! Here we go!
- I was born in Arvida, in Quebec, Canada. I lived in upstate New York, and then we moved to Flint in the Detroit area when my Dad was transferred with General Motors. I lived there until 2000 when I moved to Paducah.
- I’m asked all the time: Why Paducah? I tell them that I fell in love with this cute little artsy town on the river. The people here are awesome! They actually take the time to talk to each other. I love that!
- I’m a singer songwriter musician. I play acoustic and electric rhythm 12 and 6 string guitar. I studied voice at the Flint Institute of Music. I’ve been performing since the early ‘80s. I listen to and play all kinds of music. I enjoy and focus on classic rock with a little hint of folk. At least that’s my writing style. I have released two CDs and working on the third.
- Currently I’m performing three different shows. “On A Mission,” I love to perform at churches. “Peace Tour,” in which I perform classic rock tunes from ‘70s, ‘80s & ‘90s and my own originals. I also perform “Yesterday Once More” A Tribute to The Carpenters, with pictographic slide show. I began this tribute because Karen was one the biggest vocal influences and I credit the Carpenters for inspiring me to begin a life time as a singer/songwriter.
I’m a dreamer and tend to stay positive and see the good all things, even in bad situations. I’m older than 21 and I’m a Libra so I lean toward things being balanced in my life. - I believe in moderation, except when it comes to music. OK, and maybe food at times. : )
- I love to spend time with friends and family. Although I need to have alone time, too. I enjoy Kim time.
- I’m looking for a lead guitarist and keyboardist for my band. They must have big dreams, with no limits. And ready to record on my next CD and go on tour. Oh and fun is a huge requirement. Sorry no drugs or alcohol. I’m not asking for much!
- I have a long bucket list! I’ll highlight some of the big things I want to do: Touring the US with my band Free2B. I want to win America’s Got Talent and perform on The Ellen Show. By the way, I have a great plan to get on the show. But I can’t talk about it just yet.
- I also want to open The Higher Note. A live music and entertainment center, affordable, safe and family oriented. To have a venue that supports area talent of all ages. Whether you’re 6 or 66, and if you have talent, you can perform in a concert style setting, with state of the art sound and video. We’ll offer workshops and artist development. The business plan has been completed, and funding I know is on its way!
- I’m a prankster! I love to scare my friends. I once stayed in a closet for an hour waiting for the right moment.
- I look forward to Halloween. “The Games” start a week before and always ends at midnight on Halloween. We never trust or know what associates will be teaming up to go prowling. And what tricks they conjure up. We turn out the light at night and watch for the associated to come. We set booby traps and wait in the dark for them to come. Last year I opened the door to see a toilet on the sidewalk filled with all kinds of yucky stuff. Needless to say, the toilet ended up at three different houses. We don’t damage property or hurt anyone. We just play tricks and set traps. Very exciting and fun!
- I love to laugh a lot, and it doesn’t take a whole lot to get me going. I laugh at myself a lot to, especially when I walk by a mirror and make stupid faces.
- I love to sing in rest area bathrooms. I never miss a chance when I’m traveling.
- I love the water!! I am one with the water. I’m drawn to it. I love to swim, go boating and look at it. I love nature and all its beauty. I like to canoe and go hiking. I take time to smell the roses and enjoy the beauty God had created just for us.
- I promote love for all God’s children. I believe with all my heart and soul that every one of us is here at this time in history, for a purpose. We all have a mission within our hearts. It doesn’t matter if your life started out bad for whatever reason. As long as you have breath you are blessed and equipped with all you need to accomplish your every heart’s desires. I believe our answer for world peace and joy is love. Love is power beyond our imagination. A huge part of my mission is share this and much more through music.
