iLove it
We know you single folks are busy. iList Paducah's Mary Thorsby goes on that first date so you don't have to!

March 15, 2010

Morgan Carr

Gal-on-the-go Morgan Carr may run a school bus company, but don’t ask her to drive — and definitely keep her away from roller coasters! Can catch her at any number of fundraisers, including those planned by A Community of Women!

Morgan, you are cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! Here we go:

  1. I am a Paducah girl born and raised. I made the big move to Southern Illinois about three years ago.

  2. I run a school bus company, so if you are expecting a night owl, think again. I am in bed earlier that most people’s grandparents.

  3. alt textI love my job, but my real passion is A Community of Women Inc., a nonprofit established to promote women’s issues. We recently had a blast at our Masquer-Aid Bash at Maiden Alley Cinema to benefit Susan G. Komen foundation and Guardian Family Services, in Metropolis, Ill. They are the most amazing group of women to work with, and they amaze me every day.

  4. I have a close personal relationship with gravity. (Meaning I fall down a lot.)

  5. I like to do fun things for a good cause. I would rather go to a benefit than just out for drinks. What could be better than dressing up and having fun while raising money for a good cause all at once?

  6. What do I want out of a relationship?? I want one like my parents who have been married for 35 years. I want to find my best friend and happen to be in love with them.

  7. I am a Facebook addict. I hate to talk on the phone so it lets me stay connected with friends and reconnect with old friends.

  8. I love peacocks even though some people consider them bad luck. My friend Aloha (who took the picture I am using for this little item) has several peacock photos she took. They are so beautiful.

  9. Give me an awesome playlist, a convertible and Route 66. That would be my dream vacation.

  10. BBQ is my favorite food. BBQ on the River is like Christmastime for me. If you are looking for a skinny girl that doesn’t eat, look somewhere else.

  11. I used to own cats and truly believed I was a cat person until I got my first dog. I’m completely in love with my dog. My mother refers to her as her granddog.

  12. My idea of a perfect date is: you making me laugh.

  13. I am all about shopping local. I like locally owned restaurants, movie theaters, coffee shops and wineries. Support our community!!! Plus when you shop locally, you don’t end up looking like everyone else.

  14. I just started learning to cook in the last couple of years. It’s not going too bad, although I did burn the chili at my last employee get together. They were all too afraid to say anything and ate it anyway. It was awful.

  15. I am for sure an independent chick. I like time with my friends and time by myself. Someone that has a group of friends or interests of their own is a huge plus.

  16. I am so scared of heights!! I have never been on a roller coaster or anything like that.

  17. Sometimes I forget to slow down, so you will have to catch me on the run. I like being involved not only with my work but with friends and worthy causes.

  18. If we go on a date, you will probably want to drive….while I think I’m a fine driver…I have been told that I have less than stellar skills behind the wheel.

  19. I want to invite everyone to A Community of Women Inc.‘s Any One Of Us: Words From Prison. This play reveals the connection between women in prison and the violence that often brings them there. We’ll have two performances — the first is Friday, April 23, at the Metropolis Community Center, and the second is Friday, April 30, at the Market House Studio Theatre in Paducah. Both events start at 6:30 p.m. It’s $5, with proceeds benefiting Guardian Family Services and V-Day. Please join us for this powerful experience!
