Teresa Grubbs

Teresa Grubbs is a middle school teacher who loves working with kids, especially when it comes to shaping future environmentalists! Her vision for her own future? Let’s just say it involves a little red sports car and the Big Sur coastline! Check out her video, brought to us by Innovations Branding House!

Teresa Grubbs, you are cute, cute, cute, no doubt about it! Here we go!

  1. I have two children. A daughter who is a junior at Murray State and a son who is entering middle school this year as a sixth grader.

  2. I’ve lived my entire life in Paducah, graduated from Reidland High School and also graduated from Murray State.

  3. In college, I was an Alpha Sigma Alpha, and I still get together every summer with some of the girls that I pledged sorority with from MSU.

  4. I am a middle school science teacher and absolutely LOVE my job. It is just an AWESOME experience to work with children, even middle schoolers who are pumped full of hormones!!!

  5. alt textI have traveled to Aruba, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Cancun and North and South Dakota. I absolutely love Florida.

  6. I worked on Indian Reservations for a couple of summers through a Handy Persons Ministry and was able to experience a wealth of cultural aspects of the Native American people.

  7. I love to work in my yard. Landscaping is a major passion for me. I enjoy turning nothing into something wonderful.

  8. Great wine, wonderful friends and relaxation are some of my favorite pastimes.

  9. Cooking is also something that brings me great satisfaction. I love to be creative in the kitchen. My chili is to die for.

  10. I work out on a regular basis. Running, walking, weight training and dancing are some of my routines. I feel that it is really important to be physically fit. Not just for the benefits to your physical features, but for your mind as well. It is a great stress reliever.

  11. I’m a huge nature lover. I recently went back to school to receive my Rank and got an endorsement in Environmental Education. Upon retirement, I would love to work for the Parks Services and develop programming for school children in the area of Environmental Education. I feel that children do not get outside as much as they used to, and they are missing out on some wonderful opportunities.

  12. Reading a great book is something that I really enjoy. I always read the book first, before I ever consider watching the movie. I think reading is an excellent escape mechanism. It allows you to live briefly in the life of someone other than yourself.

  13. Religion and Politics are two topics that I try to steer clear of at parties where I don’t know people. This is mainly because I have strong opinions on both subjects that I only feel comfortable talking about with friends. These are topics that can clear a room if not handled correctly. Ha!

  14. I enjoy camping (tent, not Holiday Inn). Both of my children have enjoyed this experience with me on several occasions. Hiking and backpacking are two other favorite outdoor activities.

  15. A few years ago, my children and I canoed the Cumberland River. Yes, that is 26 miles worth of canoeing, intense heat, sweat and a very uncomfortable seat. It was a tremendous challenge that we met, but not quite with the level of satisfaction that we had anticipated.

  16. I have recently taken up tennis again. Since I played some in college, I thought that I might try my hand at it again. I really enjoy the game. I would love to report that I’m an excellent player, but that would be a lie. However, I am improving, which is all that matters.

  17. In the past few years, I have developed a real passion for photography. I bought myself a very nice camera and enjoy driving around just taking pictures of anything that leaps out as something extraordinary. I would love to some day turn this hobby into something a little more serious.

  18. When I retire, I have vowed that I will own a little red sport scar. I can just envision myself behind the wheel with dark sunglasses, my silk driving scarf and the open road in front of me. I will definitely have to drive the Big Sur coastline to make it official.

  19. My children are an extremely significant part of my life. I value my time with them and appreciate their relationship with me. I could never date someone who did not have a passion for his family. It is the most important thing in my life.

  20. I’m a social bug. I love to go out to dinner, attend parties, and socialize with friends. I have never met a stranger and can entertain myself easily when out and about.
