2nd Annual Collaborative Women’s Conference: Still Changing

alt text

Women of all faiths and backgrounds will come together for the 2nd Annual Collaborative Women’s Conference (CWC), set for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24. The theme: Still Changing — because, as conference organizers note, we’ve only just begun to be better and do better as women, mothers, wives, friends, employees, volunteers, leaders and future leaders.

alt textMore than 125 women have joined this faith-based/community-based organization since the gorgeously beautiful Dr. Bernice Belt, associate minister at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church, put out the call last year in hopes of forming the group. Women of all races, abilities and ethnic groups and representing all denominational and socio-economic lines eagerly joined in. And today, the CWC is a helpful extension of local churches, and a supporter of all churches, pastors and their wives, women’s ministries, women ministers and wives of associate ministers and organizations designed to assist women and their families.

The group has a great new Web site which, along with sharing conference details, includes an impressive leadership list with contact information on how to get involved.

alt textTickets for the October conference are on sale now. The event is $10 for adults — just download the registration form. It’s free to the next 20 girls (ages 6-17) who register now. Just send an email with your name, age, a parent’s name and your badge will be ready at the conference.

“Women are hungry for the camaraderie through ministry outside their normal environment,” Bernice says. “As Christian women, we know there’s more. We enjoy being around each other. We are excited about what the ministry is designed to accomplish.”

Commemorative Booklet Sponsor Opportunities
Individuals, businesses and organizations of all kinds are invited to show support for the conference — and their appreciation for very lovely women (and women, as we know, typically make all the buying decisions in their households, therefore this is a very valuable audience to reach, hint, hint) — by placing ads in the CWC’s Commemorative Souvenir Booklet. For more info on this very excellent opportunity, send an email contact Bernice.
