The Carson Center Distiller’s Dinner featuring Bill Samuels Jr.

Bill Samuels Jr., who led Maker’s Mark™ from small family distillery in Kentucky to global icon, will be the featured guest at the Carson Center Distiller’s Dinner on October 29.

The seventh annual Distiller’s Dinner will take place at the Carson Center in historic downtown Paducah, Kentucky.  Reservations are required.  The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a reception with Samuels.  Artisan Kitchen will serve a 5-course gourmet dinner with a Southern flair in a spectacular setting on stage in the main theatre.  During the dinner, Samuels will make informal remarks. Beverage options will include Maker’s Mark™, Maker’s 46™, house wine or beer, and soft drinks. Individual tickets or tables may be purchased by calling 443.9932, ext. 240. Tickets also may be purchased online

Samuels led Maker’s Mark for 35 years – most recently as President and then Chairman Emeritus. Through innovative, humor, and wit, he reinvented the marketing of premium, small-batch bourbon. Before becoming the seventh generation in his family business, Samuels studied rocket science at Case Institute of Technology and the University of California at Berkeley and earned a law degree from Vanderbilt University. His honors include Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame, Kentucky Business Hall of Fame; Louisville Citizen of the Year; Kentucky Entrepreneur of the Year; and Chair, University of Louisville Board of Trustees. Learn more about Samuels in this House of Representatives resolution and this Congressional tribute.

Maker’s Mark™ Distillery in Loretto was the first distillery designated a National Historic Landmark in the United States. Guinness Book of Records recognizes it as the world’s oldest operating bourbon whisky distillery.
