Saturday, June 11, marks LowerTown’s Second Saturday – the Saturday each month when all the great shops, studios and galleries host extended hours, 12-8 p.m. (unless otherwise noted), and feature their latest work!

Caryl Bryer Fallert is internationally recognized for her award-winning fine art quilts, which have appeared in hundreds of exhibitions and publications throughout the world, and can be found in museum, corporate, public, and private collections in twenty-two states and six foreign countries. In 2005, she relocated to Paducah to open the Bryerpatch Studio, gallery and workshop center, where students can come to learn and enjoy the ambiance of the LowerTown Arts community. Bryerpatch Studio closes at 6 p.m. for Second Saturday.

Stop by this working cottage industry and studio and see one-of-a-kind original designs and 19th century museum reproductions. Artist Phil Phillips has a great collection of items, and he makes movie props, home décor pieces, leather handbags, business accessories, guitar straps and other pieces.

Free wireless Internet access, newspapers and a shelf full of games keep everyone entertained, as do the local musicians and writers who regularly perform.

Gallery 1025 is one of the most important places to see contemporary art in Paducah. The gallery represents some of the best artists that Paducah has to offer, along with artists of national and international reputation. Located west of the historic LowerTown Arts District, the gallery is open free to the public on the second Saturday of every month or by appointment. Don’t miss the Exhibit by Glenn Hall Photography from 5-8 p.m., with live music by Like Water, food and friends!

This delightful, catered affair will feature fine local cuisine, live entertainment and a chance to rub elbows with some of Paducah’s finest artists.
