Leadership Paducah’s Summer Party: July 23
Since 1984, the Chamber’s Leadership Paducah program has shaped and guided more than 600 graduates who continue to strengthen and lead the Paducah/McCracken County area.
On Thursday, July 23, these community leaders are loosening up and mixing it up on the Carson Center’s river view terrace, complete with Backwoods BBQ, tropically refreshing drinks and DJUK beats!
No speakers. No PowerPoint presentations. No surveys. Just fun!
It’s the Leadership Paducah Annual Meeting & Class Reunion Summer Party throw-down. And all Leadership Paducah grads are invited! $35, which includes Leadership Paducah Foundation dues for a year.
Backwoods BBQ’s got the BBQ chicken, pulled/chopped pork, slaw, hashbrown casserole, baked beans, sweet corn, grilled pineapple and cobbler. Cold sodas and a cash bar, too!
Plus door prizes valued at $25 and up! And DJ Urban Kobbb will keep the beats coming!
RSVP to Stacy Thomas, 443.1746.
About Leadership Paducah
If you haven’t experienced Leadership Paducah, you’re missing a great chance to learn the inner-relationships and complexities of our area through a series of face-to-face discussions with community and state leaders.
Managed through the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, each year the classes include individuals with diverse backgrounds who demonstrate a talent and commitment for leadership. Through this program, members become acutely aware of social and economic changes and the impact of such changes in our local community.
The nine-month program begins each August with a new class of about 30 members selected by the Leadership Paducah Foundation Board. They kick things off with a weekend orientation retreat and end the following June with graduation at the Chamber’s Power in Partnership breakfast. In between, the class spends each first Thursday of the month together with speakers, discussions, field trips and other activities based on particular topics.
Wanna Give It a Try?
The 2009-10 class is already filled, but if you’d like to be considered for the 2010-11 class, applications will be available in March 2010 to download from the Chamber’s Web site and the Leadership Paducah site. For questions, contact Stacy Thomas, 443.1746.
